When we researched the probable causes behind those road accidents we uncovered many. Research shows that simple errors when driving resulted in road accidents that could have been avoided. For your knowledge we have brought you five common road accident mistakes that you must avoid on the road not only for your safety but also the safety of others.
Driving Under the Influence
Drunk driving increases the chances of road accidents. If you check the statistics of the road accident, you will come to know that drivers driving under the influence is the leading cause of road accidents. Alcoholic drinks and drugs impair one’s ability to drive and slows one’s response. So, if you’ve had one too many drinks we urge not to get behind the wheel. Instead designate a sober friend as driver after a fun night out, call a cab or ask a person to drive who has not consumed any alcholic beverages for a ride.
Following drunk driving, speeding is the second major cause for road accidents. It better to arrive safe and alive so please do not speed when driving. It is also important to not practice to drive slower than expected limits.
Tired & Drowsy Driving
If you are feeling tired and/or sleepy, we suggest to you should not drive at all. Despite your best efforts, you will find it difficult to concentrate on the roads, and it is a sad reality that accidents occur in the blink of the eye.
It is suggested when driving to drive with a clear leveled head and notto engage in deep thought about your family, friends or work. Do not check your mobile phones or engage in passionate conversations while driving. Distracted driving is also a major cause of road accidents.
Don’t change the direction without using indicators, break the traffic lights, and break suddenly. Reckless driving is a major reason behind road accidents. Drive like a gentleman or woman. Your family is waiting for you.
